All Danish clubs have the opportunity to participate

The Danish Football Association (DBU) will make it possible for all Danish clubs to join the Green Goals Charter. This is done so that more clubs can make use of and become part of this part of the ACCESS project.

DBU is working with the Green Goals Charter to ensure positive sustainable change in the clubs and the local communities they are part of. Through dialogue with local associations, they have identified a unique opportunity to extend the program to all Danish clubs, making it possible for them to participate voluntarily and on an equal footing with all other clubs. Through club activities, we will realize the potential of football to create positive change for society and the environment.

This is made possible by sharing information through DBU’s online channels and informing about the charter with the clubs’ commitments to environmental and sustainable initiatives, which include ensuring operations and processes, sustainable planning and decision-making, sustainable projects, raising awareness, and ensuring sustainable activities.

This indirect approach is due to a formal agreement with the local unions, which are the part of DBU that has direct contact with the clubs and ensure the dialogue through their sustainability officers which makes it possible to reach more clubs.
